En Plein Air Enthusiast  |  Studio Impressionist

Hi, I’m Lamar. I paint the people and places that have shaped me - mostly scenes from the Southeast, where I grew up and still live today. There’s something about this region that keeps me curious, and I try to capture the complex past and present of my home through weathered textures, light play, and the quiet strength in everyday moments.

I work mostly in oil and watercolor, and my goal is always the same: To make something honest. You can catch up with me at shows around the region, but this site and my Instagram are the best way to keep up with my latest work, upcoming events, and what’s going on in the studio.

Thanks for stopping by!
